Slate Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove the windshield.

Step 2: Remove the side panels and disconnect the turn signals.

Step 3: Remove the side windshield fairings.

Step 4: Undo the (4) bolts retaining the windscreen vertical supports.

Step 5: Remove the GPS Cross beam.

Step 6: Disconnect the headlight connector on right side fairing location.

Step 7: Remove the (4) headlight bolts on the dash backing plate by the steer tube.

Step 8: Remove the headlight assembly by slightly spreading the vertical supports.

Step 9: Prepare the Slate bracket for assembly and locate the packaged hardware.

Step 10: Position the Slate bracket over the headlight mounting holes and install the (2) factory headlight bolts into the bottom holes on dash backing plate.

(For 2023 and older models only)

Modification to the headlight backing plate is needed.  Add clearance to the round extrusion by dremeling or cutting the backing plate.  This modification WILL NOT prevent the use of the stock headlight.  Please contact us via our contact page for questions on producer or concerns.

Step 11: Install the provided spacers between the Slate bracket and dash backing plate and install the (2) provided bolts.

Step 12: Reassemble the vertical supports, GPS bar, fairings and windscreen components in reverse order starting at Step 5.
